A Chery Super Hybrid is an advanced plug-in system featuring a higher-capacity battery and more powerful electric motors, designed to prioritise electric drive for a quieter, more responsive experience.
Unlike standard hybrids, its larger battery allows for a longer pure electric range, while built-in regenerative braking captures energy as you slow down to keep your battery topped up on the move.
The battery is constantly topped up by the petrol engine and through regenerative braking while you drive.
The car stays in EV mode for your local trips. When the battery runs low, the 1.5L turbocharged engine kicks in seamlessly to act as a generator or drive the wheels.
The car captures energy usually lost during braking and feeds it back into the battery to extend your range.
The electric motor helps the engine during high-load moments, like pulling away from a green light, saving fuel and making the car feel more responsive.
