The Sportage range opens with a 1.6-litre T-GDi mild hybrid producing 147bhp paired to a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT gearbox. A 283bhp 1.6 T-GDi plug-in hybrid (PHEV) is available with an AWD configuration and 13.8kWh battery providing up to 43 miles of pure electric range under WLTP testing.

A 235bhp full hybrid (HEV) variant is also available, combining a 1.6 T-GDi engine with a 59kW electric motor. All AWD models come with an intelligent torque distribution system for confident all-weather driving.

Dimensions and Practicality

The Sportage measures 4,515mm in length, 1,865mm in width and 1,645mm in height, making it a genuinely spacious family SUV. Boot capacity is 587 litres with the rear seats up, or up to 1,776 litres with them folded. Ground clearance is 181mm, and the turning circle is a manageable 10.6 metres. Service intervals are every 12 months or 10,000 miles.

The Sportage's dual curved display dominates the dashboard, comprising a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen.
