The second-generation Kia Niro PHEV builds on the popularity of its predecessor with a more distinctive exterior design, a significantly upgraded interior, and improved electric range.
The 11.1kWh battery provides a WLTP pure electric range of up to 40 miles - that’s enough for the majority of daily commutes and school runs without using any fuel. Backed by Kia's seven-year, 100,000-mile manufacturer's warranty, the car offers long-term ownership confidence alongside low running costs.
The Kia Niro PHEV combines a 1.6-litre GDi petrol engine with a 62kW electric motor, producing a combined system output of 182bhp and 265Nm of torque.
The 0-62mph sprint takes 9.6 seconds, and CO2 emissions from 26g/km make it an ideal option for company car drivers. Fuel consumption on a full charge is up to 313.9mpg under WLTP combined figures.
The Niro PHEV can be charged via a standard three-pin domestic socket or a 3.6kW AC wallbox. A full charge from empty on a 7kW wallbox takes approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. A Mode 3 Type 2 charging cable is included as standard.
