The Seal is available in two powertrain configurations. The rear-wheel-drive variant produces 230kW (313hp) and covers 0 to 62mph in 5.9 seconds.
The all-wheel-drive Performance variant produces 390kW (530hp) across twin motors and accelerates from 0 to 62mph in just 3.8 seconds. Both variants use the 82.5kWh Blade Battery.
The Seal supports up to 150kW DC rapid charging - the highest in BYD's current UK passenger car range. This allows the battery to be recharged from 30% to 80% in approximately 26 minutes.
Home charging is supported at up to 11kW AC (three-phase), meaning a full charge can be completed overnight on a suitable home wallbox.

The Seal measures 4,800mm in length with a 2,920mm wheelbase. These dimensions make it longer than a BMW 3 Series, and with more rear legroom as a result.
