I'd definitely recommend Mantles BYD and Used Cars Royston because I was given a great customer service by the gentle man called Michal Cizdziel. he was professional all the way from when i requested more information about the car up to when i was handed the car keys. Michal made a follow up call to confirm whether I was satisfied with the information i received and offered more explanation about the condition of the car. Michal was very detailed in our converstaion and always request i let him know if I needed more help or clarification. Especially when there could have been a ## on the initial hand over day due to some minor scratch damage, Michal ensured the original hand over date was kept by liaising internally with his colleagues, manager, and their body work contractors to finish the Job to meet up with their service promise date. I find these qualities very customer friendly and customer first behaviour, and will recommend Mantles BYD and Used Cars Royston to friends and family member.

It has a wonderful experience of buying the car, right from the first phone call to taking the car off their hands. The car needed a bit more TLC and they were amazingly accommodating for those works. I really can not say enough good things about the service I received from the team at BYD Royston. Firstly the sale which was smooth and painless and so clearly explained by Maisie. She communicated promptly with me and ensured everything was in place so I could drive away on the day as I live out if area. She was really informative, helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, there were a couple minors issues that developed soon after I drove away but the staff were great in getting the car back in without ## to resolve the matters. Great company, I saw a used car on their website, only thought they had BYD’s but saw a VW there. Made an enquiry online, got a call back and arranged to walk across and have a look. Was looked after by Michal who was really good. If you are buying a used car you get looked after same as if you are buying a new car. Michals working days got changed because of the Bank holiday but he came in just for us so we could pick up the car. What great service.

I recently purchased a second hand Toyota Yarris Cross from BYD/Mantles in Royston and was helped by Tom. Its never easy to decide which car to buy but from the moment i spoke to Tom he made everything so easy. Tom wasn't pushy at all (unlike many other garages) and he gave me time and space to look over the car and he explained everything to me very clearly. He was very smart and acted very professional each time i saw him. On the day of the handover everything as ready and all the paperwork went very smoothly. Recently brought a part x Mercedes cla250 from here. When arriving you le greeted by a robot which kept the kids entertained. Offered a drink straight away for the kids . Staff are honestly lovely, we delt with James and Luke both very helpful and go above and beyond to help you, always keeping you up to date , very upfront and honest. Love the car . As it was a part x that come in anything that needed doing on the car brakes ect was done so it gives you reassurance when putting your children in the car. A lot of dodgy car dealers out there . To set the scene — we originally tried to order our car from another dealer (Milton Keynes), and the experience was dreadful. They made big promises about delivery within a week… three weeks later, nothing had happened. When I went in to confront them, I found out the car hadn’t even been ordered — it was still sitting in China, waiting to ship! 😠 Frustrated and disappointed, I went searching for a dealer who could actually deliver. That’s when I found BYD Royston. From the very first contact, they were leagues apart. I emailed them with the spec I was after, and they replied almost immediately to say they had one in the showroom. I’ll admit I was a little hesitant about buying a showroom car, but decided to visit them that Saturday — and I’m so glad I did. 🚗 The showroom is spotless, spacious, and modern — a totally different feel from the chaotic experience we had in Milton Keynes. We were greeted warmly as soon as we stepped inside. Multiple staff checked in with us while we were browsing — not pushy at all, just genuinely friendly and helpful. “Would you like a drink?” was offered more than once while we sat comfortably in their customer lounge. Then we met James Ali, who had seen our email and was ready to talk. We explained the situation with the other dealer, and he listened. No sales patter, no pressure. Just straight professionalism. In the past, I’ve dealt with my fair share of bad experiences buying used cars. Popped in last week to look at a used XC60, we quickly discovered it wasn't the car for us. Braydon (sorry if I spelt it wrong) then shown us the new seal udmi and it was perfect he booked us in for a test drive and as we was early took time to show us other cars. There was no pressure, no force sell just tell me what you liked and disliked and I'll see what we have. Tbf if it wasn't for him we probably would of walked away and went to a dealership with no wait time.

I purchased a brand new BYD seal UDMI car from Mantles BYD Royston two weeks ago, and I can confidently say it was the best car-buying experience I have ever had, a much better experience than the BMW dealer 4 years ago. Samuel Cooke ( Sam) responded to my online request for a test drive within a few hours and arranged a test drive on a convenient date. On the test drive day, I received a warm welcome from Sam and the dealership manager Mo Miah. These two guys were patient, and knowledgeable and never pressured me into making a decision. Sam provided detailed information about all the new cars ensuring I made an informed choice. Mo gave me enough time to discuss the financing options offering competitive rates and payment options. There were no hidden fees, everything was clearly explained. The new car arrived a few days earlier than the promised time and delivery was a nicer experience. Amy went through all the paperwork and formalities effortlessly and explained all the control buttons of the new car. She gave me a tutorial on the BYD infotainment system and adjusted the settings on my request. Amy has excellent customer care skills. I have just purchased my 3rd KIA from this establishment. I've had in the past a Ceed, an Optima and now an Xceed. Mantles is a great friendly and professional team from salesman Tom to service desk Lesley and all the mechanics who service my vehicles. Nothing is ever too much bother. Always a great hot chocolate available when I pop in (other beverages available!) and a smiling face. My dog Charlie is always made welcome and gets a little treat from Lesley who he adores. Tom, who sold me the Xceed this time, made the process smooth and we negotiated a good deal that we were both happy with. I had a little niggle this week with the petrol cap cover and a computer glitch, but Tom said bring it in and he fixed it in less than 5 minutes! I know that Mantles KIA have got my back, which is comforting to me. Thanks to everyone at KIA but especially Tom Hankin in Sales and Lesley on Servicing who has been my rock this past difficult year.

I recently looked for a new car and so happened to have a car that I was looking for. Originally have a good chat with Jack with the car to explain the details and in-depths of the car. I decided to buy the car and waited a week or so for the relevant documents to show up and after, unfortunately the car was damaged on the day of pick up. But, with the quick response from Jack it was repaired within 48 hours and was to good standard. Even with some little quirks with the finish of the paint around the area, he will book it asap and of that is good professionalism. Thank you very much!

I recently bought a bit of a dream car from Mantles Used Cars in Royston. Wanted a Civic Type R ever since I can remember. Finding one in decent condition at a good price is hard to come by, and despite being about a 2 hour train journey away, I made the leap to reach out to Jack and the team. I am beyond glad I did. The team were beyond professional and friendly and put me entirely at ease about the concept of buying a car without viewing it. If anyone out there is worried (and believe me, I was, I hated the idea of it) - I can categorically say, that these guys are the way to go. No sales tactics, incredibly honest, suggested to go with the finance provider I had lined up as the quote was cheaper, let me decline extras with ease; I felt valued the entire step of the way, and Jack didn't mind me pestering him with questions around the clock (and watching the video over 100 times in anticipation!) or asking for clarification on the confusing bits. I told them up front my concerns and they explained the entire process for me, start to finish, including a personalised video sent to me of the car, showing me each individual feature up close, and even highlighting slight wear and tear or parts of the car that may need attention. That's a level of honest I wasn't expecting, and in fact, was the thing that made me go ahead with the purchase. They also showed me parts of the car they were touching up, repairs they were making, valet service and the diamond bright they applied all to the vehicle before I even got there. Along with a 12 month warranty (that I can use across the country; I don't need to go back which is good when you're far away). On day of collection, I got the train up, had a chat, watched England in the Euro's and drove away in my dream car. When I saw the level of love they'd put into that car; the detail, the care and how it felt premium and looked after, I knew the price was worth it. When the other team members came over just to look and talk to me about the car, it was pretty clear that this is a collective of people who just bloody love cars and shared my excitement that day. Can't tell you how it felt to drive away that day in the sun in that thing! Can't thank you enough Jack and co, and as promised, will be back to sort out the Mrs new car closer to the time. PS. I waited a month to post my review (because you never know) but just still as in love with the car!!

I recently purchased a Honda Jazz from Tom at Mantles. As I lived a couple of hours away he took the time to make multiple thorough walkaround videos of the vehicle both station and driving - calling out any blemishes etc, allowing me to make an informed decision before deciding whether to visit. On arrival the car was exactly as shown - nothing hidden, and the staff were more than helpful with any questions and queries. Four days in with the car, and 300 miles later and I am happy to say there have been no issues. I definitely recommend their service.

I had an excellent experience all round buying my used Skoda at Mantles in Royston. Business manager Alfie was quick to answer my initial queries and to supply me with a really in depth walk around video of the car before any photos were available. He also made it easy for me to arrange a visit to view and test drive the car. Nathan was really helpful when I visited and clearly explained all the details of the car, the process of buying it and any optional service deals and finance options that were available but did not try to push anything extra on me that I didn't want. It was then possible for me to collect the car only a day and a half later once the car had been fully checked, cleaned, serviced, MOT'd, taxed and had the alloy wheels serviced. When I collected the car, Belinda and Tamsin were really attentive and made sure that all of the paperwork was completed efficiently and without fuss. They also personally checked over the new car before I drove it away. Every member of staff I spoke to and met during the process was friendly, warm, kind, helpful, approachable and knowledgeable. I didn't feel pushed or hurried into any decisions and I was tried fairly and with respect. I am really pleased with the car and know that should there be any problems in the future with the car I can return to Mantles for their expert, friendly help. As a new and nervous driver, I wanted to buy a car that would suit my needs not only in terms of affordability but simplicity. I went in and was served by Jack, who has been nothing but kind and helpful throughout my whole experience with Mantles. I don't know much about cars and wasn't sure on the right one for me, and being a young person with a tight budget, Jack quickly found me a perfect car for myself. After some frustration with the DVLA (not Mantles fault at all), and Jack negotiating with the finance team, I was finally able to take my car home after a week of waiting. I felt supported and listened to throughout the whole process, and Jack made it easy for me to understand without me feeling patronised or spoken down to. I was well informed in my decision and felt confident in knowing that the car I bought was well looked after - not to mention the fresh MOT and servicing it got just before I bought it. Having very recently experienced a nightmare with a more 'traditional' used car dealer, it was the polar opposite at Mantles Used Cars. Mo, the manager who dealt with us, was fantastic. He wasn't in the least bit pushy and made it evident that he really cared about our experience in buying a used car and providing exemplary customer service.
