About the role
Grainger Motor Group has recently acquired the Honda Chiswick site, and we are looking for an experienced and motivated Sales Manager to join the team and play a key role in the next chapter of the business.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious automotive sales professional who can lead from the front, develop a high-performing sales team and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
As Sales Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day performance of the sales department, ensuring that targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of customer satisfaction, compliance and professionalism.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop the sales team to achieve and exceed monthly and annual targets
- Manage new and used vehicle sales performance across the department
- Monitor individual and team KPIs, identifying opportunities for improvement
- Coach and support Sales Executives to maximise every customer opportunity
- Ensure all customer enquiries and sales opportunities are followed up effectively
- Maintain excellent standards of presentation, customer service and showroom performance
- Work closely with the Business Manager and senior management team to maximise departmental profitability
- Ensure all sales processes, FCA requirements and company procedures are followed
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends
- Support the recruitment, training and development of the sales team
- Lead by example, creating a positive, professional and high-performance culture
About you
We are looking for someone who has a proven track record in automotive retail and understands what it takes to deliver strong commercial results through a team.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in an Automotive Sales Manager or Senior Sales role
- A strong understanding of vehicle sales and the automotive retail environment
- Proven experience of achieving sales and financial targets
- Excellent leadership and people-management skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- A customer-focused approach with high standards of professionalism
- Good commercial awareness and an understanding of departmental profitability
- The drive and ambition to make a real difference within a growing business
- A full UK driving licence
