Grainger Motor Group announces acquisition of Chiswick Honda

Acquisition marks the Group’s expansion into West London and introduces Honda Motorcycles to its growing portfolio

• Grainger Motor Group (GMG) today announces the acquisition of Chiswick Honda from Norton Way Motors Ltd (part of RRG Group / Marubeni Auto Investment), marking a significant milestone in the Group’s continued expansion and its entry into West London.

  The acquisition adds two further sales locations to Grainger Motor Group, with the Chiswick Honda Cars and Motorcycles franchises increasing the Group’s network to 23 sales outlets and a team of 640 people across Hertfordshire, East Anglia and now West London.

  Situated on a substantial three-acre site in the heart of West London, Chiswick Honda has a unique history with both Honda and the Grainger family. Formerly Honda UK’s head office, the site was opened in 2001 by the Grainger family as Honda’s first European brand centre, bringing together Honda Cars, Motorcycles, Power Equipment, Marine and Lawn & Garden at a single location.

  The acquisition therefore represents a return to the Group’s roots for Managing Directors Harry and Neal Grainger, who both previously worked with the Chiswick site during their careers with Norton Way Group. It provides an opportunity for the brothers to return to a dealership and location with which they have a long-standing connection, while taking the site into the next chapter of its development under Grainger Motor Group ownership.

  Commenting on the acquisition, Harry Grainger, Managing Director of Grainger Motor Group, said:

With 23 sales locations and a 640-strong team, we are entering West London – an area we know well, but a new market for the Group – complementing our established presence across Hertfordshire and East Anglia. The addition of Honda Motorcycles also gives us the opportunity to develop a new area of the business alongside our existing Honda car operations.

  For Grainger Motor Group, which operates under EMG Anglia and Mantles Group Ltd, the acquisition continues a period of significant growth. During 2026, the Group has been recognised as the fastest-growing dealership group in the UK, reflecting the pace at which its network has developed.

  The Group is on track to exceed £425 million in turnover in 2026, up from £321 million in 2025, and has set its sights on reaching £500 million in turnover by 2027. Growth has been driven by a combination of strategic acquisitions, new franchise opportunities and continued investment across its existing network.
